The building form, derived from traditional gabled houses along the street, provides the main characteristic of the design. Community spaces are designed with users in mind and include a community room, shared outdoor areas, a play space and a bike shelter. Access to the properties is provided via off the street and though the two formed site entries. Street access is provided with steps to the raised floor level, which provides privacy and passive street surveillance whist achieving the requisite clearances for flood protection.
