Marc has extensive experience gained in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, where he specialised in innovative design solutions with low energy use. He is experienced in leading teams on large scale projects and has a background of education, public, commercial, and residential buildings, in addition to significant aged-care design and master-planning.
In the UK, as Associate Director with Wilkinson Eyre Architects, he was principal designer for several significant projects including Stratford Station, the Kew Gardens Masterplan, Explore@Bristol and the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, which won the prestigious Stirling Award in 2001.
Moving to New Zealand in 2005, Marc established Jerram Tocker Barron Architects with David Jerram and John Tocker. Notable projects include the Suter Art Gallery, Gardens of the World, Waimea Plains Retirement Village, and CLT care and apartment developments in Queenstown and Tauranga.
