This beach house has open plan living areas along the full length of the sea facing façade. 
This home includes 4 bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms, a roof terrace, and a separate guest suite accessed from the central courtyard which provides shelter from the prevailing westerly wind. 
The harsh salty/sandy environment required long life, low maintenance practicality. This was achieved with a limited palette of materials – insulating plaster on blockwork, cedar rain screens and plywood, glass, and double thickness anodising on the aluminium. 
The home was conceived as a large bach giving connections and stopping places between the landward sheltered side of the dunes and the open tract of the beach.
