This building comprises specialist teaching facilities for catering, hairdressing and beauty, as well as general facilities, including a new tiered lecture theatre.

The new building is part of a masterplan for the campus that includes landscaped courtyards, pathways and planting.

The building is oriented with an east-west axis with external solar shading to the north and large double glazed windows to the south. Natural ventilation, thermal mass and night time purging are used to reduce energy consumption.

Materials are used in their natural form, with a patinated copper tower and cedar sun-shades.
