House On The Cliffs|  

This contemporary style home is located on a narrow steeply sloping section overlooking the Haven and Haulashore island in Nelsons Port Hills. The design provides a linear plan elongated on an east-west axis to make the most of the sun and views. The house is two storey with the lower floor being constructed of blockwork with garage and bedrooms protected by the large overlapping balcony of the living spaces above. The blockwork is complemented with the lightweight timber framing and glazing of the living areas.

The low angular composition provides the house with a strong presence yet reduces the impact on adjoining properties.
